Dr Amanda Bielecki, DVM  Joined our team October 2025 

Growing up, animals were more than pets—they were family. That early connection inspired a lifelong love of animals and a passion for science, leading her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She earned an undergraduate degree in biotechnology and went on to become a veterinarian, blending her scientific background with hands-on patient care. 

Originally from Central New York, she has always been drawn to adventure and new experiences, which ultimately led her to Alaska. During her undergraduate years, she gained valuable hands-on experience working alongside veterinarians and mentors while attending Cornell, further strengthening her foundation in veterinary medicine and patient care. 

She loves the joy animals bring into the clinic and truly values being part of a compassionate, supportive team. At home, she shares her life with Clementine, a chinchilla and the sweetest of the group, along with two cats—Karsa, the sweet one, and Castor, the goofy counterpart. Her favorite breed is the Border Collie, inspired by an incredible dog she grew up with, and her continued love for herding breeds. 

Outside of work, she enjoys backpacking, fishing, hiking, scrapbooking, basket weaving, and learning how to knit. She believes that maintaining optimism in veterinary medicine is essential and strives to bring that mindset into her work every day. 

She is excited to be part of the team at Wasilla Veterinary Clinic and looks forward to supporting patients, clients, and her fellow teammates every day.
