Sara

Sara has had animals in her life for as long as she can remember. Born and raised in Alaska, she grew up surrounded by animals and developed a deep appreciation for their care and well-being from an early age. She brings hands-on experience from working at two kennels as well as a dog trainer, and she especially enjoys getting to know each pet’s unique personality.

At home, Sara has a full and happy crew of animals. She shares her life with five dogs—Lego and Hamlet (Alaskan Huskies), Freya (Golden mix), Odin (Pit/Lab mix), and Kiska (Alaskan Malamute)—as well as two horses, Cricket and Riley. Dogs are her favorite animals, and she loves how no two are ever the same.

Sara has been showing horses from a young age and continues to enjoy working closely with them. What she values most about veterinary medicine is caring for animals and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in our care. She wants clients to know that their pets will receive plenty of affection and attention during their time at Wasilla Veterinary Clinic.

Sara is most excited to work alongside a team of people who share her love for animals, and she is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program as she continues to grow in her veterinary career.
