Originally from Southern Oregon, Shelby made the move to Alaska in July 2024, drawn by both her love of the state and her family ties here. With over seven years of experience in veterinary medicine, Shelby is especially passionate about caring for sick or injured pets and being a comforting presence during their recovery.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Oregon State University and earned her Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology from Penn Foster. Now a licensed veterinary technician in Alaska, Shelby also has a strong passion for teaching and mentoring within the field of veterinary medicine.

When she’s not at the clinic, Shelby enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, and working on stained glass art. Her furry family includes Yetna, a spunky Boston-Chihuahua mix; Alsea, a lovable labradoodle; and Dip, her spirited domestic medium-hair cat.
