Whitney was born and raised in Anchorage. She has been interested in animals, both wild and domestic, since a young age. She attended Humboldt State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Wildlife Management and Conservation. Since graduating, she has worked on numerous field projects researching an assortment of birds, mammals, and fish, as well as, a variety of administrative positions. In her free time, she enjoys various outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, and bird watching. She has an adventurous spirit and loves to travel locally, as well as, internationally. Whitney has been snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, snowboarding in the Swiss Alps, zip-lining through the jungles of Mexico, and on safari in South Africa. Whitney shares her home with 2 spoiled cats, Tobi and Tika, and a rambunctious, but sweet Goldendoodle named Sequoia.
